I’m linking up with Emily again for Embrace the Camera.

It’s so nice to have my teenager back.
For a while last year, she was into pushing limits.
These days, she’s more into pushing buttons on the phone.
Best wishes for an awesome week!

It’s been a long time since I’ve linked up with Emily for Embrace the Camera.
I just looked it up, the last time was in February.

I’m going to get back in the groove with the weekly posts, starting with some older shots of me and the teenager.
She loves to wear my glasses.
We went to the mall one day just to try on clothes that we would never wear.
So fun.
We had a mother-daughter date on National Museum Day and though we were disappointed by the museum we went to, we had a blast taking random pictures.
During these tumultuous teenaged years, I think it’s more important than ever to sneak into some of her pictures.

*Friendly warning: this is a long post with a lot of pictures. Enjoy*![]()
I was really slow processing these.
Sorry y’all.
My mom, little sister and I threw my brother and SIL a baby shower last weekend.
(Those pics will be coming soon.)
My birthday was the day after, so my mom and sis stayed for the whole weekend.
We had a specific request from my aunt (Hi Cyn!) for family pictures as well because we are so rarely all together.
It was also perfect timing for the next session for Angie, so we combined the two.
The teenager took most of the maternity shots.

Clockwise from me, (in red), is my brother Mike (a.k.a. Butthead), my mama, my little sister Jenny (a.k.a. Munchkin), Angie (a.k.a. Oopma) and baby, and my daughter Bea (a.k.a. the teenager).
Would you believe I was having a really good hair day?
It tends to have a mind of it’s own and my birthday was no exception.
Someone “forgot” her shoes and was wearing her Starbursts socks for the shoot.
She’s not her mother’s daughter or anything.
This is me providing a focal point for Mike and Angie to look at.
Because we couldn’t possibly let them have too much camera time alone, we all jumped in for more group shots.
Look at that proud mama and her belly.
She’s a strong lady and she’s growing a strong boy in there.
So silly.
After the shoot, my brother helped our mom down the hill.
I love this one.
It was nice to have everyone together if only for a couple days.
While my family waits *patiently* for me to finish editing pictures from this weekend, I thought we could play a game.
These are a bunch of random pictures from my birthday “party” on Sunday.
I mean really random.
I will number each picture or set of pictures and you can caption them in the comments.
I will then post my favorite caption/s for each one in an edited post.

I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
(Please feel free to caption just one if you prefer.)
These are all just some pictures of family and friends (and of course the girls and I) hanging out.
My little monkey getting suited up so he can ride his scooter.
Bea and her “Aunt Pickle Juice”.
She took Bea for the weekend when she was about 6 months old and not only did she teach her how to drink out of a straw, (which made it harder to keep her out of my soda), but she introduced her to pickle juice and she loved it.
She’s been Aunt Pickle Juice ever since.
I have been every shade of red there is. This one was particularly fun.
(My mom hated when I stuck my tongue out when it was pierced.)
My brother.
Oh how I love him.
He’s gonna be a great dad.
Miss Margaret exploring.
Bea used to be such a cool big sister.
Now she’s just too cool. ![]()
Miss Margaret watched everything Bea did.
Missy Moo and her favorite uncle.
I love this picture.
He was totally concentrating on her nonsense.
It’s amazing how well water works as hair gel on really thin hair.
Bea and Jamie often had butt wars to keep occupied while waiting for the bus.
Obviously Jamie won that one.
She was such a good girl when we traveled by bus.
This is one of my all time favorite pictures of her too.
We were at the Saturday Market and the slice was almost as big as her head but she didn’t want me to cut it up for her.
Bea used to beg me to do her hair like this all the time.
She has the most amazing thick hair.
